Don Cheadle is no fan of Donald Trump, as we have already seen time and time again throughout the presidential vetting process. Now, in a firestorm of vitriol from the award-winning actor and filmmaker, Don Cheadle has let off some heat toward the Republican presidential candidate after he attempted to use the shooting death of Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade’s cousin to score political points.
For those who were more focused on the upcoming VMAs or out in the world at the numerous festivals that were going on this weekend — Donald Trump tweeted on Saturday the following: “Dwyane Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African Americans will VOTE TRUMP!” The real estate magnate would later offer his condolences to the Wade family on Twitter and at a rally that same day, yet that wasn’t enough to curb the anger within Cheadle’s heart.
Here’s what the Miles Ahead filmmaker had to say in response:
According to the Chicago Tribune, Zykea Aldridge, Dwyane’s cousin, was taken to the hospital where she died after being shot in the head and the arm on Friday, last week. Without fail, Don Cheadle instantly angered alt-Right voters and trolls of different species. They began targeting the cinematic legend who was ready for them, as you can see below:
Donald Trump is in the process of swaying African American votes in his favor. The attempt has been less than desired, as proven during a rally on Wednesday when he said, “Hillary Clinton is a bigot who sees people of color only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future.”
