A few years back, Tyler The Creator launched his own subscription-based web channel with Golf Media. The platform proved to be fertile ground for non-musical ventures like his animated series The Jellies, a logical progressions from Odd Future’s Loiter Squad days on Adult Swim (how we miss thee.) Two years later, he’s damn-near everywhere. Catching contact on Action Bronson’s Ancient Aliens series, hosting his own festivals, street-racing with Frank Ocean in Los Angeles, running his own fashion shows in all their cartoonish glory. The Tyler brand is growing in a hurry (RIP @fucktyler.)
His next move: a leap to your television set. Keeping with ties to VICELAND, Tyler has landed his very own show on the lawless cable TV arm of VICE, where he’ll adapt some of his Gold Media shows to a new format and broadcast straight to your living room. Precisely what’s in store for us has yet to be revealed, but with Tyler The Creator at the helm, you can be sure it’ll be vivid and imaginative to say the least. Now we wait, but hopefully not for too long. Hold tight for details on Tyler’s latest creative undertaking.
