Jake One Cooks w/ Gospel On New Episode Of ‘Rhythm Roulette’

Earlier this year, Jake One proved to gospel to be as fortified with sampledelic gems as any genre with the release of his #PrayerHandsEmoji beat tape. Now he’s taking us a bit further into his lab protocol with a clinic in vinyl chopping, gracing Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette with a lesson from one of the best of em.

All of the usual steps are taken; a blindfolded trip to the old watering hole (read: wrecka stow,) a three-piece of randomly selected records, a ready-made banger sculpted from the bones of that trio. But best of all, you can watch it all come together right before your eyes. Peep Jake One’s Rhythm Roulette session in the clip below and jump back to see the likes of Esta, Iman Omari, 9th Wonder, Hi-Tek and the gamut of modern day maestros do what they do best, live and direct from the hot seat. At the very least, this’ll hold you over until a new Tuxedo record makes way… or just have you itching for more from the Seattle selector. One thing’s certain: we’ll take it however it comes. Hold tight for the next episode.
