Khary Durgans “Self Centered/Twenty – 3″

I’m admittedly new to the music of emcee, Khary Durgans, but dude definitely got my attention with his new dual-track, “Self Centered/Twenty – 3.” After combing through his soundcloud page, I have a feeling you’ll be seeing plenty more from the Providence, Rhode Island emcee around these parts in the future. Check the Jeauxsmeaux and James...<

It’s A Backroads Drag Race For Yelawolf’s Down (Video)

In the Ghet-O-Vision days, cars added a ton to Yelawolf’s videos. Now with the added value of Shady Records backing, ain’t nothin’ changed. For “Down,” the Shady XV single, a lifted ’70s K-series Chevrolet pick-up truck and a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle (as seen in other Yela’ videos) lead the charge in a...<

On Cee’s...<

Sneaker of the Week: Yeezy Supply

Sneaker of the Week: Yeezy Supply

We've sat back and watched Pharrell and Nigo pump out a few releases but the Kanye West and adidas collaboration has, at times, felt like a pump-fake. Well, the long road to Yeezy's adidas sneaker just took a turn for the interesting and it almost goes without saying that we had to make it the Sneaker of the Week.

JMSN Is Out To Settle The “Score” w/ A Ghostly New Visual

JMSN has quickly built a reputation for churning out visuals that are at once transient and deeply unsettling. Today he unveiled yet another contribution to that visual legacy with the official video for “Score” off his recently released self-titled album (which has been getting plenty of burn over the past few months.) BJ The Chicago Kid “Strawberry Bubblegum” [Official Video]

BJ The Chicago Kid

While Belly had one of the best (relax, I sad ONE of the best) soundtracks made in the era of hip-hop inspired soundtracks (remember that?), BJ The Chicago Kid still went on ahead and added music of his own to some of the most memorable scenes from the flick. This isn’t just background noise though, BJ drops one of my favorite jams off his recent T...<

Anyway, Bannon reaches into the back catalog once again for his latest project, which hit...<

dFresh - The Strangest Secret

As January concludes, we remember the resolutions we've set and whether or not we've followed through with them (if you're a gym goer, things should go back to normal within the next few weeks, if not already.) Why do some people succeed with setting goals while others fall back on their habits? Famed self development forefather Earl Nightingale would say that those who aren't successful do not set goals and are reactive to those around them, forcing their dreams to take the back seat in favor of simple pleasures. Though these distractions may arise, don't think that dFresh will succumb to them.

In practicing with the Nightingale ethos, "The Strangest Secret," which is named after one of his seminal works, has the Delawarenative going through the daily grind. Simple and to the point, the video throws away all of the glitz and glamour, allowing us to take inFresh's lyrics directly. dFresh's upcoming "Universal Laws: Chapter 1" doesn't have a release date, but let's hope it comes out soon so we've got something to bump while we stay on our path of success.

Raz Simone

Raz Simone

In the video for Seattle rapper Raz Simone‘s ‘Still Mobbin’  rides through his city at night reminiscing about his first kilogram, strap and first time whipping up in the trap. The black and white video moves from nighttime solitude to camaraderie and crew love in the daylight.
As the song moves into its sing-song coda, Simone mobs with featured singer Ariana DeBoo and a large number of his affiliates. “I don’t wanna kill / Swear to God I don’t want to kill / But I got a son and a momma still / Therefore I will, I’m still mobbin’,” he says as this more joyous section starts.
‘Still Mobbin’ is a cut from Simone’s upcoming ‘Cognitive Dissonance: Part One.’ The video is directed and edited by the Black Umbrella collective’s Andrew Imanaka and Simone himself.
