As the years go on, Flying Lotus‘ film score catalogue expands in equal measure to his purely audible pursuits. Last year saw the arrival of FUCKKKYOUUU; a short scored by FlyLo and directed by Eddie Alcazar that brought gender and identity to the forefront of sentience in a time-jumping (and frankly, horrific) narrative.
Before that, the eccentric music man had lent his talents to Kahlil Joseph‘s K Dot-inspired short film, mAAd, which was also raved over in the film festival circuit. Today, the official trailer for the film LoveTrue has arrived from visionary director, Alma Har’el, bringing with it an original score from the movie maestro himself. The trailer doesn’t reveal much, but it does offer a taste of FlyLo’s arrangements for the film, which will see its debut this coming week at NYC’s Tribeca Film Festival, specifically, this Friday at the SVA Theater. You can peep the immersive new trailer for LoveTrue down below, but for ticketing information, we encourage you to hit the link to secure your spot at the film’s premiere.
