The wait is over! Beyonce has finally released her long-awaited album Lemonade on Saturday night (April 23).

Much like her 2013 self-titled visual album, Queen Bey didn’t give fans a heads up, although her fiery trailer earlier this week was a good indication that something was coming.

Following the singer’s HBO special of the same name, the R&B mom delivered her album exclusively on Tidal, whose owner is none other than her hubby, Jay Z. This will be Beyonce’s sixth album and her second visual project, which will most likely feature several accompanying videos.

The 12-song collection features a short film, which is based on “every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing,” according to a press release. Guest appearances on the album include Kendrick Lamar, the Weeknd and James Blake. Hitmakers Diplo, Kevin Garrett, Just Blaze, Vincent Berry II, James Blake, Mike WiLL Made-It and many others provided production assists on the digital LP.

There’s more surprises in store for the Beehive as Beyonce will launch her “Formation” World Tour in Miami on Wednesday (April 27). DJ Khaled is the co-headliner of the trek.

Upon the release of Beyonce’s Lemonade, fans jumped on Twitter to express their joy for the album’s digital release. However, there were some disgruntled fans who were upset that Lemonade is a Tidal exclusive and urged Bey to release the project to other competing streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify. That will probably not happen anytime soon.
