While the world scours the internet to relive a 2004 Dave Chappelle‘s reenactment of one of Prince‘s most infamous moments, 2016 Dave Chappelle has been living out his inner-rockstar with no apprehensions. Last February, Erykah Badu celebrated her 45th birthday with a live show in her hometown of Dallas, TX. Amongst the evening’s guest was the great unicorn of comedy, who took the stage alongside Miss Badu to lead a lively rendition of Radiohead‘s “Creep” to the whole room’s shock and wholehearted enjoyment.
Recently, Chappelle played a late night set in San Francisco, where he fought off tears as he referred to Prince’s death as the “Black 9/11.” Ironically enough, Prince himself performed a cover of the Radiohead classic during his 2008 Coachella appearance, which only recently made its way back to the internets. You can watch as Dave Chappelle performs “Creep” at Erykah Badu’s birthday party down below. Be sure to keep your head on a swivel with an ear to the ground, as you never quite know when or where he’ll pop up next. We’re hoping it’s on tour and as soon as humanly possible; the world needs it too damn badly.
